Spidersonatae
It's Taehyung from BTS' birthday, so here I am combining my two interests - BTS and Spiderverse into one. It's quite fun to design a spidersona, I think it's a pretty good practice for character design and simplicity, without the pressure of making something totally new, i.e there's elements you can build up on. I think I'm getting better at making simple, flatter shading! I find it a lot faster for blocking out shapes and it forces you to really think about silhouettes and general composition rather than the details, which is very helpful in learning quickly.

I combined a few elements that were related to Taehyung - his love for Vincent Van Gogh's art, baggy pants, his association with tigers and his self created BT21 character TATA.
Mask off concept - in my head, I was thinking he could work as a photographer or a reporter ala Peter Parker style, befitting of his passion in photography.
